WNC Wins SEAL Environmental Initiative Award Again, Showcasing Prowess in Scope 3 Emissions Reduction

Hsinchu, Taiwan, February 5, 2026 — WNC is at the forefront of the low carbon transition, and its performance in sustainability has again been recognized internationally. The company has won the SEAL Environmental Initiative Award for the second straight year with its Partnering with Our Supply Chain to Help Save the Earth initiative. This award honors projects that facilitate environmental progress, demonstrate leadership, and help achieve a sustainable future. WNC’s Chief Sustainability Officer, Molly Lin, said, “We are honored to win this award two years in a row. This is a testament to WNC’s capabilities in addressing climate risk and conducting sustainability transitions, and also highlights our commitment to sustainable development. We are dedicated to driving progress across the value chain and will continue to work closely with our suppliers to implement carbon reduction initiatives, align with international sustainability standards, and build a more resilient and sustainably competitive industry ecosystem.”

As the supply chain is the carbon emissions hotspot for the electronics manufacturing industry, WNC regards Scope 3 emissions reduction as a key part of sustainability governance. The company implemented a comprehensive carbon management strategy in 2023, building an in-house platform to facilitate carbon inventory taking, introducing strict supplier management and selection processes, and incorporating EcoVadis and other international sustainability ratings into supplier performance management. Through training, supply chain conferences, resource support and other mechanisms, WNC is taking charge in helping suppliers improve their performance in climate governance.

In 2024, WNC’s Scope 3 emissions amounted to 5,542,207.75 tonnes CO2e, an absolute reduction of 5.78% compared to the previous year and exceeding its target of a 3.57% reduction for the year. In CDP assessments, WNC earned an A (Leadership) rating for supplier engagement, demonstrating that its supply chain management and disclosure practices meet leading global standards. To expand its sustainable supply chain footprint, WNC hosted two sustainable supplier conferences at its Vietnam site in 2025. The company communicated its sustainability strategies and requirements to local suppliers, and provided carbon management training to improve the carbon reduction capabilities of those suppliers. In the future, WNC will continue to leverage its influence across overseas sites.

WNC believes sustainability is a key lever for enhancing corporate competitiveness. Despite gaps in capabilities across its supply chain, communication issues with suppliers, and the need for long term resource investment to develop and maintain platforms, the company has faced these challenges head on and maintained its leadership position. WNC is committed to making Scope 3 emissions reduction viable over the long term and replicable by others, which will help the value chain create mutual benefit for all.
